Crooked
Everyone has a moral compass, your conscious tells you right from wrong, and if you are on the wrong path, you can feel it in your gut. Some people are so stuck on the crooked path, that they numb themselves to any feeling of guilt, but they know what is wrong. Regardless of strategies and maneuvers to hide your crookedness, not only does the truth have a way of coming out, but the punishment is unavoidable. Whether anyone knows what you did or not, God always knows, He knows everything. He knows what is in your heart, He knows your intentions, He knows every single one of your thoughts. Crooked decisions have bad results, and they always come back to haunt you. Either the very result of an action you took or a phrase you uttered can bring upon the punishment, or events further in life will bring it to you, but crookedness is not well rewarded. Some people wonder why those who are cruel or who do things unjustly still have a good life and have some things handed to them, but their true punishment awaits them. Whenever you do something wrong, you seem to lose the peace you once have, your mind is constantly trying to cover your tracks, you have to put one scheme over another, you lose sleep, lose your sanity, and you lose your integrity. A crooked man has to constantly watch his back and his doings and always fear of being caught but one who lives on the righteous path of integrity has nothing to fear and can live in peace with a secure repute.
Integrity
The said person who walks the righteous path can remain secure and keep his peace. No matter how many people may persecute him, they cannot make a just case, because if you have done everything the right way, there is nothing to reprimand. The man who walks righteously will be rewarded for his honesty and efforts. One can never say that keeping your integrity is not worth it, because not only does God recognize those who live with integrity and walk on the correct path, but he defends them. In the same way God sees all the wrongs of the Crooked man, He sees the straight path of the righteous man. One who has done things the way they should be done and did not break any rules, can walk without fear because there is nothing to be exposed, nothing to be caught, and nothing to be blamed of. God expects all of us to walk with integrity. He sent his Holy Spirit to guide us and remind us when we are headed the wrong way. I thank God, that he is so merciful and has given us so many chances to redeem ourselves and fix our way on the path. A Christian should stand apart from the crooked man, no matter how much he has conquered. A dollar conquered with integrity is worth far more than 10 made with deceit. This generation unfortunately encourages people to get what they need done in any way no matter who they are hurting, what laws their breaking, or even how much they would be hurting God and going against the Holy Scriptures. But the one true path shows us that the way with integrity will have the best results in the end, it is the step that maintains innocence, and the way that instead of creating traps, leads to life. A wicked person brings trouble unto himself and others, but a righteous person blesses others and is blessed himself. I ask God that he may guide each one of us and be in our hearts so that each step we take is in the right direction and that we may walk with integrity no matter the circumstances. Amen!
