Former Things
The world we live in is full of great sorrows, so many that many people don't survive in it. The path we must follow through is not an easy one, because even though we are children of God, we live in a world poisoned by the sin of man. We live in a world where there are billions of people who cry to sleep because of illness, loss, hunger, and pain. What was promised to us was not a life here on earth without pain, but an eternal life of joy and peace with our Lord almighty. It may be difficult to understand, or even if you can understand, still difficult to live day by day fighting against the negativities of this world. But there is hope. Those who believe in Jesus Christ, the salvation, and the promise of eternal life for the children of God, rejoice even in the most difficult of times because they know what's awaiting them. We can't quite imagine the beauty and perfection awaiting us but we know it will be amazing beyond our wildest dreams. From the experiences we have with the Holy Spirit and the words God has given to us through his Scripture we stand in awe at the smallest portion of what our little minds can think up and know that it will be so much more. Living here today, it's impossible to escape the tragedies thrown at us, we fall into depression and anxiety, but we are picked back up when we look to our Lord who is our rest and strength. Our Father who capacitates us in all circumstances and who tells us to keep fighting until the very end because He has prepared something very special for those who love and follow Him with all their hearts.
Wiped Away
You know those days you've spent fighting to keep your head up or to take another step because the weight of all your troubles were dragging you down? You know the nights you spent with tears running down your cheeks because you couldn't contain all the pain? You know all the emptiness you feel because of those you've lost and even those who have hurt you so deeply you lost pieces of yourself? Not only does our God provide comfort through those times here on earth but He promises a life where all of that pain is gone. He promises eternal life where sadness, pain, and death are left behind and all that is left is a beautiful life in a dwelling designed and built by God. As Revelation describes it, a city of pure gold with foundations of the wall of the city garnished with all manner of precious stones, and gates of pearls, and with the glory of God lighting the whole place in a way that the sun is not even needed. What God promises is much greater than anything we can possibly imagine. Stay strong and persist through the battles of this world, keep your faith and hope in the Lord, and ask for His help in overcoming the obstacles in your way. God will guide you in His path and what He has prepared for us will be well worth our persistence in the one true path and our faith in Him.
